Hello Linda
My apologies. I have been meaning to write to you ever since we got
back but life has been hectic.
I would like to thank you very, very much. We had a fabulous holiday
and the weather could not have been better. My son and his girlfriend
had such a great time that they changed their flights and stayed for
the second week. Penny and George were a tremendous help and made us
feel very welcome.
The villa is very well equipped and we were very comfortable, although
we were very rarely indoors, except for sleeping. Even when we ate
'at home' we barbecued so we never actually cooked in the kitchen. We
loved the pool and spent a lot of time in or beside it. Please note
though, when we arrived we found that the back of two of the sunbeds
were broken and could only be used without the back being propped up
and a third had a big crack in it - so we were limited to 3 (which was
not a problem as Alistair preferred to sit in the shade on the veranda
anyway, but it could be if you had more guests).
I think a car is essential as the villa is a long way from any
amenities but the train service that was introduced earlier this year
is excellent and fun (although due to the end of the summer season,
the last service back to D Sector was 10.00 pm). We attended the
Monday night quiz at the Golf club twice - and distinguished ourselves
by coming last, thus earning a bottle of wine - we like to think this
is because the questions were written for people rather old than us.
We had a couple of trips to Cartegena and would recommend visiting
this historical city to anyone visiting the area. The Roman
Amphitheatre and the boat trip round the bay were real highlights. We
also particularly enjoyed visiting the market at Totana, which we
found to be the best of the three we visited (Mazzaron and Camposol A
sector being the other two). We also visited several local beaches
and found them to be really clean, although some are more pebbly than
others. We found some great tapas bars and thoroughly enjoyed
sampling their different offerings.
I would love to come back next year and will be in touch
Thanks again
Regards
Gillian and party

Hi Linda,
As a group of 12, 6 male & 6 female, we stayed at both villas, the men in Clasico & the women in Fortuna. We had a brilliant holiday.
The private pool was fantastic and spacious, Car hire would have been so handy, but Penny your onsite key holder put us in touch with a local resident called Terry, who taxied us about when required. 2-3 trips was no problem provided we gave him notice,(he even took our garbage to the skips for us)
All in all an excellent 7 nights. We would have no hesitation in recommending this location to anyone who requires an away from it all relaxing holiday.
Accomodation and amenities were first class, i have to say the kitchen was so well equipped, even for 12 people.
Thanks again Linda

Linda,
Thank you very much. We very much enjoyed our time at your "very family friendly" villa. We had everything we needed for the kids and was great to not have to worry about taking a buggy or hiring a cot/taking toys etc. My eldest son also was hooked on the bear stories & traditional fairytale books that you had to the point where he wanted to take them home ( we need to find them now as he enjoyed the stories so much). The child gate is also a fantastic idea and allowed us to let the kids on the veranda without the worry they will venture into the pool. The villa was lovely and comfortable fit the 3 children & adults we had staying.
Finally the welcome pack was a complete life saver, we were delayed and arrived late and the supermarket was closed. So it was lovely to find such a large welcome pack & a personal thank you for the beer. It was thouroghly needed after the long travel day.
Thank you for everything and we had no problems at all over the holiday and would definately recommend it

Hi Linda,
We really enjoyed our stay in the villa! Needed a relaxing holiday and certainly got it here. It was wonderful. The pool was a great size and at night, with the lights on it was beautiful. Took advantage of the Daily Mail DVD collection in the villa - long time since we've seen Brief Encounter!! Needed help from Penny and George on one occasion and they were great. We would certainly stay again if we come back to Murcia.

Hi Linda
Thanks for the phone call. Happy to provide a reference.
The Villa was superb and very clean on our arrival. This is now our tenth year of villa holidays and my husband, who is a chef, said that it was the best equipped kitchen he had cooked in on holiday. The bedrooms were an excellent size as was the living area. There was also plenty of room at the pool for all the sunbeds to lie and we could even play a few games of french boules.
The pool must have a great filter system as it was always clean. It was a great size and depth for the kids and we had great fun with the inflatables that were left. In keeping with that spirit, we left a basketball and a crocodile, known as Mr Snappy, for the next family to enjoy
Penny was a wonderful guide. The beaches and restaurants she recommended were excellent and on hearing that we forgot to pack some DVD's let us borrow her Disney collection for the kids to watch in the hot afternoons.
We visited Murcia, Vera, Aquilas and Puerto De Mazzaron, all which were easy to get to and great places to visit. The beach at Aquilas was great with fantastic facilites that put our Beaches up here in Scotland to shame.
In summary we had a great week in lovely surroundings, visiting new and interesting places and living in a fantastic villa.
Thanks again, I will recommend your site (and already have) for any family looking for great holiday.

Hello Linda
Just a little note to let you know that all went smoothly at Villa Fortuna. The villa really did have everything you could need whilst on holiday. Travelling with two toddlers was hard work but the provision of child friendly items such as cot, high chair and stairgate was extremely well received. The latter meaning that I could relax knowing that the little one could'nt take her herself off down to the pool! The key holders were most helpful and available if you needed them and though the resort was huge it was always really quiet around the villa. All in all a lovely holiday break in a lovely villa.
Kind regards

Dear Linda,
We have just returned from our wonderful 2 weeks holiday at your Villa Fortuna. As you can imagine — it was just like going home to us, being the second time. I didn't want to leave! My how the roads have changed in a year! The journey from Alicante airport seemed much simpler this year. Even though we had an extremely early start on the Saturday we left, I managed to pop some bedding into the washing machine for Penny, to save her some time.
My sister enjoyed her 6 days with us, and will be telling her husband about the joys of villa rental no doubt.
We obviously dream about owning our own villa one day — but I fear it would be a case of 'selling up' here before that could happen.
We are looking forward to our next years holiday and we are considering the feasibility of trying to afford a 3rd week for myself and our son (Saturday to Saturday from Leeds Bradford Airport) — as my husband Ian only gets 2 weeks holiday during the summer, he could still come out Thursday to Thursday from our local airport.
We are just mulling this over at the moment. However it could probably be a prospect for 2009! - Maybe even 4 weeks!
We brought your DVD back with us, where would you like me to post it?
Anyway Linda, I hope you are well, and your new home is everything you had hoped.

Dear Linda, (family of 2 - Villa Fortuna - Dec 2005)
I am delighted to be able to send you positive feedback after our 10 day stay in your Fortuna Villa at Camposol in December 2005. The villa was exactly as described and was welcoming due to the fact that your key-holder had anticipated our arrival, put the heating on for us and left us essential supplies. Everything worked properly and it was a real “home from home”. In all my dealings with you, you have been very professional, prompt and efficient. I would certainly have no hesitation recommending you to anyone looking for comfortable self-catering accommodation. Yours sincerely, Sue Naylor

Dear Linda
I will definitely take the time to write out an email reference, it was worth it. I'll have it done by the end of this week.
We had a fantastic time, just exactly what the Dr. ordered. We hardly spoke to a soul for three weeks. We thought we'd have got bored but no way. Penny and George were totally fabulous. 20 year age difference!!! I'd never have believed it. Anyway, this is not my reference, just a wee note to say thank you.
Linda, I hope Penny mentioned I broke four wine glasses, not outside and not drunk, doing the washing up!!!! I should have left her 10 euros to replace and didn't sorry.
Warmest and thank you once again.

Dear Linda,
We have just spent a fantastic 2 weeks at the Villa Fortuna in Camposol. The villa itself was exactly like the pictures on the website. It was in immaculate condition and having a south-facing pool was brilliant. From when you got up in the morning till evening the sun was round the pool. Although the resort itself is massive sitting around the villa in the evening we found it to be very quiet and peaceful. This was the first time we have done a villa holiday and the 1st class, friendly service you provided from start to finish means that we wouldn't hesitate in doing it again. Penny and George (the keyholders) were brilliant and when we had a problem replacing the gas canister they were round straight away - a first-class service! We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending your company and would definitely book through you again. Many thanks once again for making our holiday a truly pleasurable one. Here's to the next one! Karen, Colin and the kids

Dear Linda, I just had to write to you to say how much we enjoyed our stay at your Villa. We cannot wait to come back again next year! We were so happy there and you have every reason to be proud of it. It is well equipped, with all 'home comforts' whilst retaining a Spanish Charm. We also feel that you have a great asset in Bob, who is very friendly and helpful. Here is a picture of the pool at night — thought you might like it. Hope you enjoy your stay there, and I look forward to hearing from you when you get back about our booking for next year Sat 4th - Sat 18th Aug. 2007. Best Wishes Brenda
